CREATE YOUR OWN SUGAR SKULLS FOR DIA DE LOS MUERTOS!
Halloween time is near and your Local, "Dollar Tree," is now carrying skeleton skulls in their Halloween section! They're perfect for creating some cute little sugar skulls for Dia De Los Muertos!
LEFT- How they come from the, "Dollar Tree."
RIGHT- I sanded down some of the black paint- experimenting to see which works best.

RIGHT- Painted white as a primer. Again, just experimenting to see which works best.
With this skull, I prepped it for spray painting by taping the eyes and mouth with painters tape.

AFTER SPRAY PAINTING- REMOVE TAPE AND CREATE!!
FOR THIS SUGAR SKULL, I PAINTED IT WITH NAIL POLISH. I HAVE TONS OF NAIL POLISH COLORS TO CHOOSE FROM AND THE BRUSH IS TINY AND PERFECT FOR THE SUGAR SKULL PAINTING. I ALSO USED A THINNER BRUSH FOR SMALLER LINES AND DETAILS. (CLEAN THE BRUSH AFTERWARDS WITH ACETONE OR THROW A CHEAP ONE AWAY.)
